Nutrition & Cancer: The Connection
When: Wednesday, February 20th; 6:30 - 7:30 pm
Where: Good Harvest Market - Pewaukee, WI; Fee: Free
Did you know evidence indicates, of all cancer deaths, the largest percentage is related to diet (30-35%) followed next by smoking (20-25%)? (1)
Unfortunately, there have been almost 1,000 cancer causing substances (carcinogens) identified. Some of which are foods commonly eaten in the American diet. Although we cannot control or completely eliminate all carcinogens from our lifestyle, we should aim to focus on those we can control — the foods we eat.
Join us for a presentation with Alison Tierney, a registered dietitian board certified in oncology nutrition to review the research behind nutrition and cancer. During this hour session, Alison will cover:
Cancer causing foods
Cancer fighting foods
Tips to incorporate cancer fighting foods
Other lifestyle factors to prevent and/or fight cancer
We look forward to seeing you at this FREE event sponsored by Wholesome LLC and Good Harvest Market.
