The quality of your research and referencing continues to be my favorite part about Wholesome! It’s so easy to find a million different opinions or “educating” articles these days, and it’s so rare to see such well-documented evidence in a health-related blog. Referencing research (in my opinion) is the WORST part about writing to educate others, but it’s so important! Thank you!

Thank you, Linda! We are so glad you value this –because we do too! As you can imagine, it takes a great deal of time to research and write these posts, but we will continue to do it! Thank you for being a regular reader of Wholesome!

I can confirm it’s true that a diet rich in fruits and vegetables can totally improve your mood and well being (and many other things too!). I have worked hard and made many changes towards clean eating and maintains primarily a plant based diet over the past two years and while sometimes difficult, I’ve found consistency and preparation are key! Most importantly, quantity, quality, and maybe most of all, variety – is what is so important for healing and prevention through plant medicine (whole foods). I can always tell when I haven’t been eating “properly” by how my body and mind reacts and decreased mood is almost the first sign! Sometimes it’s the little things we don’t realize that have improved until you get off track or stop following your guidelines and begin noticing all those aches and pains or a good case of the blues have come back again! I’ve never felt better since Ive even able to consistently get the nutrients from a wide variety of fresh vine ripened produce each and every day. It’s Amazing… the power of nutrition! Thanks for all your great info!

Susie–thank you so much for your comment! You are right it takes hard work to make better food choices and continue to improve. We find consistency and preparation are key as well. We are so happy you have first hand experienced the benefits of plant-based nutrition! Thank you for supporting Wholesome!
